The principle objectives of the BATHROOM MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION are:
- to give the industry a recognised voice, aimed towards government and Industry Regulators within the UK
- to represent the interests of the UK industry within the European standards bodies
- to provide an authoritative voice for the industry on all matters that impact on manufacturing or supply
The BMA currently has representation on 32 Standards committees within UK and European Standards bodies, including government initiatives and 9 related trade bodies. We work closely with research houses such as BRE, WRc and RAPRA to ensure that new legislation is fair and compatible with the UK markets and we are continuing to develop relationships with the merchant and installer sectors of the supply chain.
The BMA also has a voice within Europe. We have membership within the three European Trade Associations that represent the bathroom industry; FECS, sanitaryware, COFEB, baths and CEIR, taps and valves. FECS and CEIR have direct links to the European Commission.
Membership of the BMA is open to all manufacturers of bathroom products who are trading in the UK market place. For further information regarding the BMA and benefits of membership please contact us at: BMA, Federation House, Station Road, Stoke on Trent ST4 2RT, telephone 01782 747123.
