DEFRA 

Defra (The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) is a Government Department in the UK. The overarching challenge for Defra is to secure a healthy environment in which we and future generations can prosper. Defra helps people to adapt to changes, deals with environmental risks and makes the most of the opportunity we now have to secure a sustainable society and a healthy environment.

Environment Agency 

This is an Executive Non Departmental Public Body responsible to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and an Assembly Sponsored Public Body responsible to the National Assembly for Wales. The aims are to protect and improve the environment, and to promote sustainable development. The Carbon trust 

The Carbon Trust was set up by Government in 2001 as an independent company, to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy. The Carbon Trust works with UK businesses and the public sector through its work in five complimentary areas: insights, solutions, innovations, enterprises and investments. Together these help to explain, deliver, develop, create and finance low carbon enterprise. The Carbon Trust is funded by government.
